Balfour Burn – a new fun run with a difference

Calling all hill runners!  Feel like a crazy challenge that’s all up hill?  A chance to test stamina and guts?  A chance to scream up the steepest hill in Launceston Tasmania?  I know you do!!!

Introducing the Balfour Burn!

Balfour Street in Launceston is steep.  I shall not mention any names but a certain young lady was taken there many moons past in a small orange beetle (volkswagon) and told most sincerely that this is where you will be brought for your hill start on your Learner driver test.  Humph – very funny now, but not at the time!

Please have a read of the Balfour Burn web site – it sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun.  Some really caring people have put a lot of creative and fun energy into the whole concept of this event.  It will raise money for St Giles.  St Giles is a special organisation in Northern Tasmania, it provide services and support to children with disabilities and their families.

This run is worth a trip to Launceston just to participate in the crazy fun that will be the inaugural Balfour Burn

Happy running 🙂

PS  You couldn’t find a more amazing place to come for a Runcation AND did you know… the modern Point to Pinnacle is turning 20 years old next year,  I know you are tempted!  I’ve updated the Tasmanian Running Event page on the blog, please check it out 🙂
